Working at the Library
Can I return Library
materials after the Library closes?

Yes, items may be returned in drops available in the parking lots at each of the
City of Mesa Library facilities.
-
The drops are open 24 hours a day, seven
days a week except on holidays, and they are emptied several times a day. No
items are due on holidays.

The library has
outside audio-visual drops for videos, CDs, DVDs, and audio books at all three
library locations.

Does the Library have
any computers or typewriters for public use?
Does
the Library have a fax machine for public use?
Does
the Library have a photocopy machine? Is it able to reduce and enlarge copies or make color copies?

All
Mesa libraries have photocopy machines for public use.
-
These
coin operated machines will reduce and enlarge copies and make copies on 8" x 11"
or on 8" x 14" paper for 20¢ a page.

We do not have any color photocopy machines.

We do not have an oversized or map
copier.

The
charge is $3.00 per sheet, pre-paid only.

Copies are made off-site
and will be available for pick-up in the Mesa Room on the Friday morning
following the request. The Mesa Room opens at 10 a.m.

Main Library gratefully accepts donations of magazines, journals, books and
music CDs.

A limited amount of donations can be accepted at the branches.

The Library also accepts
funds for memorials. The fund should be given to the Library Director, (480)
644-2336, and the family and contributor will receive an acknowledgment.

How can I get a job at
the Library?

The Library is a part of the
City of Mesa. Current
library jobs are posted on the City of Mesa Web site.

All job opening notices, applications and general questions
about positions should be directed to the Personnel Division, City of Mesa,

Does
the Library use community service workers?

The
Library does not work with community service workers. Anyone needing assistance
regarding community service should contact Western Judicial court, (623)
936-8828 for adults or youth or Juvenile Court, Keith Searcy at (602) 506-4428
for youth.
